Qi Exercises & Qi gong – Qi gong is an ancient practice that involves directing breath through intention to specific areas in the body. This long-standing practice is said to increase longevity. It does this by increasing the flow of oxygen, blood and fluids through the body. With each breath, our cells are nourished and our body converts food into energy. Treatments that involve qi gong may include medical qi gong, during which the practitioner practices qi gong and directs it to the patient for healing effects. They may also include instructional qi gong, a set of qi gong practices that the patient is asked to practice at home.
